Annual Trucking Expo Rolls Through Memphis: Connecting Emerging Leaders To The Best In The Trucking Industry

(Memphis, Tenn) The Memphis 3rd Annual Trucking Expo, presented by The National Association For Minority Truckers, will showcase innovative, cutting-edge products in trucking and shed light on services that make the trucking industry the most powerful in logistics. Exhibitors, business owners, and individuals will be able to connect and exchange knowledge and ideas regarding industry standards, regulations, and compliance.

The 3rd Annual Trucking Expo will roll through Memphis, the nation’s number one logistics hub, on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10:00am-5:00pm at The Agricenter International located at 7777 Walnut Grove Road. The event aims to be both educational and entertaining. The show’s MC will be Tim Brady, retired owner/operator now trucking journalist for top trucking magazines (Fleet Owner, American Trucker, Road King). Brady can also be heard on The Lockridge Report – SiriusXM Road Dog Trucking Radio Channel 106, and is a partner in Write Up The Road Publishing and CEO of truckersu.com.

Educational seminars including topics on fuel savings, commercial insurance, truckers in technology and more will be held throughout the day. For those seeking employment, a career & job fair with recruiters from hiring companies, colleges and trade schools will be held. Truck drivers will have an opportunity to pose questions and concerns to industry experts during the Truckers’ Forum and representatives from the healthcare industry will be available with information and services at the Healthy Truckers Pavilion. As an added bonus, Don & Pam of “Roadcookin” (roadcookin.com) will provide LIVE cooking demonstrations to encourage healthy eating while on the road.

LIVE entertainment will be provided by Tony Justice and Shelby “Elvis Tribute Artist” Dee. In addition, Tim Ridley of the Tim Ridley Show on SiriusXM Road Dog Trucking Radio Channel 106 will be broadcasting LIVE from the event. The Kid’s Zone expo will include PlayStation tournaments, face painting, and balloon animals.

The expo will kick off with the first 18-wheeler convoy to ever hit Memphis. The convoy lineup will start at 7:30 a.m. at the Wolfchase Galleria and will end at the Agricenter International. The convoy will be followed by a high-spirited Driver Appreciation Rally. Truckers will have an opportunity to show off their trucks for top prizes and win $500 for Best Working Class Truck or $1000 for Best Show Truck in the 2012 Showoff Truck Contest.

Thousands of Mid-Southerners are expected to attend the trucking expo. Some of the best names and most distinguished companies in the trucking industry will be on hand to greet each guest with a few industry secrets and developments.   1. This is incredible. I’d love to see this show. Truckers are just so cool! I actually envy those women truckers. They look so tough considering that trucking is a predominantly male industry. I actually think of pursuing a career in the trucking industry someday. I think I’m qualified and have the skills for it.
